Product licenses

1. Products covered

These terms cover Undermax RPG Maker MZ plugins, their Expansion Packs and bundles, and the use of Undermax Cloud. Undermax is an independent project. A purchase grants a license to use the included product, not ownership of its copyright.

Read the product page and included documentation for the edition, features, requirements and any specific license. An expressly stated product-specific license governs that product's differences. Third-party software, assets and services retain their own licenses. These terms do not grant rights to RPG Maker MZ, another developer's work or content you do not own.

2. Using plugins in your games

Your license is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable. You may use a legitimately obtained plugin in your own commercial and non-commercial RPG Maker MZ games. You may distribute the plugin as an integrated part of those playable games, including your changes needed for the game to work. This does not authorize distributing the plugin as a standalone file, reusable asset, template or editable project for others to reuse.

Do not resell, sublicense, publicly share or redistribute the plugin or its modified source as a separate product. Do not share purchased download links or account access. If a team, classroom or organization needs to share source files, contact [email protected] to confirm the appropriate permission before sharing.

3. Editions and attribution

• Demo editions: Use the features included in the demo and credit Undermax, Undermax Games or Maxii1996 in your game or its documentation. A demo does not grant access to the paid edition. Its features and update availability can differ from the full release.
• Full / Release editions: These require a valid purchase or a license issued by Undermax. Attribution is appreciated but optional unless the specific product expressly requires it.
• Full Experience Mode: Where offered, this is a playable evaluation within the supplied demonstration environment. It does not grant permission to extract the plugin or use it in a separate project.

4. Bundles, Expansion Packs and Card Duel

A bundle includes the products listed for that offer when you purchase it. Each included product keeps its applicable license. Buying a bundle does not automatically include future products, separately priced editions or later additions to a different offer.

An Expansion Pack may require a separately licensed parent plugin, a compatible editor and a specific version. Check those requirements before purchase. Buying an Expansion Pack does not include its parent product unless the offer explicitly says so.

Card Duel System is the RPG Maker MZ plugin; Card Duel Studio is its companion software. Downloading the Studio from the Microsoft Store does not itself include the plugin or RPG Maker MZ. Studio-specific terms and its privacy notice also apply. Artwork shown in the Card Duel demonstration and included example images are illustrative and are not licensed for use in your own personal or commercial projects; use original or properly licensed artwork.

5. Source changes and third-party components

Where a full plugin supplies unobfuscated source, you may inspect and customize it for your licensed projects. Keep copyright and third-party license notices. Do not represent someone else's work as your own or distribute your changes separately without permission.

Do not bypass access controls or extract protected code from evaluation editions, except where applicable law permits it. This restriction does not prohibit the source inspection and customization expressly allowed above, or rights granted by an applicable third-party license.

6. Compatibility, updates and support

Check the supported engine, platform, parent product and version on each product page. RPG Maker MZ support does not imply RPG Maker MV support or compatibility with every third-party plugin. Test changes in a backup of your project before using them in production.

Updates made available for your purchased edition are delivered through its official distribution channel. Support focuses on the current official release. We may ask you to reproduce an issue without custom changes or unrelated plugins. Custom development and compatibility with every future platform or product are not promised. This does not remove support or remedies required by law or expressly included in your purchase.

7. Undermax Cloud and connected services

Undermax Cloud provides access to Undermax information and supported account features. Online features need an internet connection and may require an itch.io account. It does not grant licenses to products you have not acquired. Do not redistribute the application or bypass its access controls except as allowed by its included licenses or applicable law.

8. Purchases, delivery and refunds

Use the official itch.io store and purchase routes linked from undermax.online. The checkout identifies the payment provider and the offer. Friends terms cover referral discounts; code terms cover redemption codes and credits. A referral discount does not change the product license.

For delivery issues, incorrect charges, defective products or refund requests, follow the refund guidance. You can email [email protected] without creating a support account.

9. Rights and responsible use

Undermax retains rights to its original products. A material license breach may lead to suspension or termination of the affected license as permitted by law. Any remedy must respect applicable consumer rights; a breach does not automatically remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

You are responsible for keeping project backups, securing your accounts and using content you have permission to use. Do not use the service for fraud, unauthorized access or unlawful redistribution. Report suspected security problems privately to [email protected]; do not include other customers' data.

Software may contain errors or be unavailable temporarily. We do not promise compatibility beyond the product's stated requirements. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory warranties, statutory remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Applicable law and competent authorities determine those rights; these terms do not require mandatory private arbitration.

10. Terms versions and contact

Review the terms presented with your purchase and retain your receipt. This revision clarifies current products and purchase routes; it does not retroactively remove rights already granted by an earlier license or offer. Privacy & refunds

Who this notice covers

Undermax operates this website and its purchase, redemption and support services. Contact [email protected] for privacy questions, access or correction requests, deletion requests, or purchase help. You do not need to register to email us.

This notice covers Undermax Friends and the website's plugin services. Desktop products may have additional notices: see Card Duel Studio privacy for local files and optional connected AI services. Payment and distribution providers publish their own notices.

Information used by each service

• Undermax Friends: itch.io account identifier, referral code, selected products, prices and discounts, payment status and PayPal transaction references, assigned download links, terms version and acceptance time. If you provide an optional receipt email, we use it for your order and access links. That email is encrypted in the Friends order database; this statement does not mean every system or email message is end-to-end encrypted.
• Code redemption: the code, email you provide, selected products, redemption status, assigned links and relevant security records. These records help fulfill and recover the correct redemption.
• Linked accounts and support: account identifiers and information needed by the connection you authorize, plus messages, attachments and diagnostic details you submit. Remove passwords, API keys, private download links and unrelated personal information from attachments.
• Website operation: requests can include IP address, browser/app information, URL and time. Hosting or security logs and short-lived abuse controls help operate and protect the service. Friends rate limiting uses a keyed identifier derived from the request address.

Why we use it

We use this information to fulfill orders, link the correct products, send requested receipts, answer support requests, reconcile payments, prevent abuse and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. An optional receipt email is not a newsletter subscription. We do not ask for your PayPal password or store full payment card numbers in the Friends order database.

Providers and access

Undermax is responsible for its storefront, product delivery and support. PayPal processes Friends payments and receives the order reference, product information and amount. Undermax sends payment instructions and receives transaction status, but does not operate PayPal or collect your PayPal password or full card details. itch.io provides product claiming, downloads and account services. Xsolla handles checkout for the offers routed to its platform. Donweb provides website hosting and email infrastructure. Cloudflare provides network protection, delivery and website performance analytics. These providers process connection and service data needed for their functions. Their operations may involve countries outside your own.

Authorized Undermax administrators can access order and support records. Friends associates purchases with a partner code for attribution and reporting; the public code does not expose customer records. We may retain or disclose information when required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect users. We do not sell personal information.

Provider notices: PayPal, itch.io and Xsolla.

Cookies, browser storage and retention

Essential session cookies support shared itch.io sign-in across the website, request validation and purchase continuity. Partner access uses a separate session. Partner passwords are stored as one-way password hashes, contact emails are encrypted, and recovery tokens are stored as hashes with a short expiry and single use. Administrators can issue temporary passwords, require a password change and invalidate sessions. Partners see only orders attributed to their own code, without customer emails, payment-provider identifiers or personal download links. Friends uses browser session storage to restore a cart after sign-in and an order in the same browser session. We retain the latest encrypted snapshot of your Undermax library from itch.io to display ownership checks; an unavailable check does not establish that a key is unclaimed. Payment providers may use their own cookies when their checkout loads. Blocking essential storage can interrupt these features.

Unpaid Friends attempts normally expire after 30 minutes. Abandoned, canceled or failed creation attempts with no authorization, captured payment or assigned product are eligible for deletion after 7 days; cleanup runs when the service is used. Payment and delivery evidence is retained for reconciliation and applicable obligations. An uncertain payment is reviewed rather than automatically deleted.

We retain records for the purposes above, including unresolved support, payment disputes and applicable legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of record and the obligation involved; it is not an unlimited promise to keep downloadable products available. Deletion requests may require retaining records that the law or an unresolved transaction requires. We can explain the applicable handling when you contact us.

Your privacy choices

You may request access, correction or deletion of your information and exercise other rights available under applicable law by emailing [email protected]. We may ask for information needed to verify the request without asking for account passwords. You may also contact your competent data-protection authority; in Argentina, see the AAIP's rights guidance.

Refunds and purchase cancellation

If an item is not delivered, a link is defective, a charge is duplicated, or the product does not match the offer, contact us with the order or receipt reference and a short explanation. You can also request a cancellation or refund using the same contact. Do not send payment-card details or account passwords.

• Friends / PayPal: include your Undermax order or PayPal transaction reference. Undermax reviews fulfillment and refund requests; PayPal's available dispute process also applies to the payment.
• Direct itch.io purchase: use the purchase support/refund options in your itch.io receipt or account. We can help investigate the product or delivery issue.
• Xsolla purchase: use Xsolla's refund support with your transaction reference. The specific policy shown at checkout governs that provider's process. Contact Undermax for redemption or product issues.

Friends supplies digital access after payment confirmation, with your express request to begin delivery immediately. Where applicable law allows, immediate digital supply may end a change-of-mind withdrawal right. That does not waive remedies for non-delivery, material defects or a product that differs from its description. Mandatory rights, provider dispute rules and their deadlines take precedence over our discretionary policy.

Requests are assessed using the purchase record and the reported issue. We may offer troubleshooting or replacement access where appropriate; a refund is not guaranteed merely because a request was submitted. If approved, it is processed through the original purchase provider and normally returned to the original payment method. Provider and bank processing times or exchange-rate differences may apply. Any affected license or download access may end following a full refund, without limiting non-excludable rights.

Notice updates

The date and version identify this notice. Changes do not remove rights applicable to an earlier purchase. Contact [email protected] if you need clarification or a copy of the terms associated with your order.

Codes & credits

Choose the right route

• Redemption codes and credits: activate the allowance or product package shown in the offer through the Undermax redemption page.
• Friend codes: apply eligible discounts in Undermax Friends. They are shareable referral codes, not prepaid credits or personal download keys.
• itch.io download links: provide personal access to the products delivered for an order. Keep these links private and claim them with your own itch.io account.

Purchasing and delivery

Purchase through offers linked by undermax.online or the official itch.io store. The credit purchase page routes its checkout through Xsolla. Other routes, including Friends, can use a different provider. Check the provider, currency, final total, applicable charges and included products before paying.

Follow the delivery instructions on your receipt. A payment authorization or pending notice is not proof of completed delivery. If a receipt or code is missing, contact the payment provider and [email protected] with the transaction reference. Do not pay again just to resolve a pending order.

Redemption and stock

Use the official redemption page and provide the email and code requested there. Review the available choices and your allowance before confirming. A completed selection assigns access links to that redemption; it does not create an unlimited balance.

Standard plugin credits cover the eligible selection shown in the redemption flow. Specific packages can have fixed contents. Card Duel System requires its specific eligible offer or package and is not interchangeable with standard plugin credits. Expansion Packs may require a separately licensed parent product.

Availability can change before a selection is confirmed. If valid paid access cannot be fulfilled, contact support for a resolution under the refund policy. Stock limits do not remove your rights to a remedy for an unfulfilled purchase. Existing code validity is not shortened by this revision; any offer-specific validity conditions must be disclosed in that offer.

Keep personal access private

Do not resell, publicly post or redistribute purchased redemption codes, personal download links or account access without Undermax's permission. Undermax-issued promotions and authorized partner referral codes follow their stated conditions. Sharing an authorized friend code is permitted; it does not authorize sharing the products acquired through it.

If you suspect a code or account is compromised, contact support. Checks or restrictions used to prevent abuse must respect applicable law. Merely entering a code on the wrong page is not stated to automatically erase your purchase or refund rights.

Product licenses and support

Products obtained through codes retain their product licenses and stated requirements. A code grants the listed access, not ownership of the software, a right to redistribute its source or a promise that future paid products are included.

For code or product issues, contact [email protected] or the Support Portal. For a payment refund, follow the provider-specific guidance in our refund policy. These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer rights.

Friends terms

Codes, discounts and availability

An active friend code applies the discount shown for eligible products. A friend code is a referral code that may be shared; it is not a prepaid credit, payment method or personal download key. Codes may be paused or changed for future orders. That does not cancel access from an already completed purchase.

Prices are in USD. Review the final total and selected products before paying. Discounts cannot be combined with other Friends offers. Availability and quoted prices can change before checkout; a changed total must be reviewed again. A provider or your bank may show currency conversion or charges in its own checkout.

Products, bundles and requirements

The purchase covers the products listed in the order. A bundle includes its listed contents. Expansion Packs may require a separately licensed parent plugin and a compatible version. A discount does not expand the license or include future products. The product license terms and stated product requirements apply.

Before paying

The purchaser must be at least 18 and legally able to contract, or a parent or legal guardian must complete the purchase. You need a legitimate RPG Maker MZ license, the compatible versions and any parent products listed in the offer, an internet connection and an itch.io account for claiming access. RPG Maker MZ and separately sold dependencies are not included unless the offer says so.

You receive a license and personal digital access links for the items listed at checkout, not physical goods, ownership of the software, custom development or a subscription. Review the product pages and any available demo before purchasing.

Payment and delivery

Undermax sells and delivers the products; PayPal processes the payment. Undermax does not operate the payment network, but remains responsible for its own order handling and applicable seller obligations. Access links are shown after payment is confirmed. A pending authorization is not a completed purchase. If confirmation is interrupted or delayed, keep the order reference and contact [email protected] before attempting another payment.

If valid inventory cannot be assigned, the order must not deliver someone else's link. Contact support if a payment and delivery record appear inconsistent. An order marked for review requires investigation; it is not a promise of immediate fulfillment.

By selecting immediate delivery at checkout, you request digital supply as soon as payment is confirmed. Where the law permits, this can end a change-of-mind withdrawal right after supply starts; it does not remove mandatory remedies. Closing PayPal before approval normally cancels an unpaid attempt. Closing a page after approval is not a refund or cancellation of a completed payment. If uncertain, use Check payment or contact support before paying again.

Personal itch.io access

Sign-in through official itch.io authorization is required before creating a Friends payment. We associate the order with that account identifier. The purchase history displays delivery links after payment confirmation. Linking a product to your itch.io library requires completing the claim on itch.io; a library match alone does not confirm that a particular download key was claimed. Synchronization can be delayed or unavailable, and the date of the latest successful check is shown.

Keep each delivered download link private. Open it while signed in to your own itch.io account and use its claim option to connect the product to your library. Available files follow the product and access tier included in your purchase. itch.io's account and download rules also apply.

Receipts and information

A receipt email is optional. If provided, it is used for the order receipt and access links. Your Friends purchase history remains available through the itch.io account used at checkout. Keep the confirmation and claim each product on itch.io. PayPal maintains its own payment record. An order email is not a tax invoice unless explicitly identified as one.

We retain the order, referral code, prices, payment references, delivery and terms-acceptance records needed for this service. PayPal receives product names, the amount and an order reference; personal download links are not included in that payment request. See our privacy notice.

Cancellations, refunds and help

For a failed link, missing item, duplicate charge, cancellation or refund request, email [email protected] with the order or payment reference. No support account is required. The Support Portal is an additional option.

Digital purchases are normally final; discretionary refunds are limited to exceptional cases. The refund policy, applicable law and the payment provider's process apply. Accepting these terms is not a blanket waiver of cancellation rights or remedies for a defective or undelivered product. Revisions do not retroactively remove rights from a completed purchase.
